Well it’s the 5th of Moldvember again. So here’s to you Major Tom! And while I haven’t written him up I am finally reading the Niall of the Far Travels stories by Gardner F. Fox so I can add him to my Giants in the Earth roster. Baby steps.

Imagine if D&D were created not by but by and you end up with Even though the inhabitants of the swamp have seen off they still have to contend with It’s really good, in a Dark of Hot Springs Island and Frostbitten and Mutilated sort of way. And I think the intended feel is more… Read more »
Remember, Remember the 5th of Moldvember!
Today is November 5th. It’s Tom Moldvay‘s birthday. He’d have turned 70. Sadly we lost him when he was only 58. That’s him there, seated in the middle. [I was directed to this pic by my friend James Maliszewski (of Grognardia, Dwimmermount and The Excellent Travelling Volume).] Note the moustache. The characters in those RPG books were statted to be the class the writers wanted them to be for the story… Read more »
Levels, levels, levels!
I’m adapting a Level Advancement campaign system for Otherworld Skirmish from the 7TV Summer Special‘s Ratings War chapter. It’s actually pretty straight forward and the Otherworld rules as they already stand allow for a few ways to approach it. One can start with a traditional adventuring party faction of already-classed 1st Level human and demi-human… Read more »
